mero naam sarah ho...

John and I are really enjoying our time in Kathmandu.  We have a great group of physicians/medical professionals traveling with us to Manang.  In our midst are two physicians from the United Kingdom, Eamon and Kristy, both of whom are in family practice.  We also have a nurse from the United Kingdom, Claire, who has spent most of her time working in emergency care.  The five of us, along with the other physicians traveling to the HRA clinic in Pheriche, have enjoyed many an outings and dinners around the city.

Our entire group has been taking Nepali language lessons.  John is doing fabulously, but I must admit that I find it a bit difficult.  That said, we all have a long way to go.

Kathmandu not only offers excellent company; it also has some pretty interesting shopping.  John and I spent the afternoon in search of some last minutes trekking items, and…wait for it…a new rug for our future home!  Silly, I know, but I’ve been planning to make the purchase ever since we decided to travel to Nepal.  Who knows the next time we will make the trip, eh?
