the end of an era, or something like that...

mt. whitney, california - summer 2007

yesterday, john and i used the last of our R.E.I. wedding gift cards (crazy, i know).  it's been a fabulous four and a half years, filled with snowshoeing and dog sledding and rock climbing and hiking and camping and cycling and surfing and so on.  we could never have had these adventures without you and your generous offering(s), so thank you.

your gift cards have also helped outfit us for our next big adventure, working for the himalayan rescue association in Nepal!  so again, thank you to all who have helped supported our outdoor adventures over the years...and happy new year!

Can Shane and I trade lives with you guys for like a week? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my life and I would miss Hayden terribly, but your life just seems like SOO much fun! :) Think about it ;)

oh jj, these photos occurred over years! most days we just go to work and then order take out. you would be terribly unsatisfied with the average week at our place. :) that said, we should all take a vacation together sometime. it would be a blast!
