today is john's 31st birthday. he arrived home from his 1st shift at MGH around 9 am. we enjoyed cinnamon rolls and cheese covered scrambled eggs while we watched the tour de france recap. then, john went to sleep. meanwhile, i headed out on the T to do a little birthday shopping. when i returned home i got to work on a birthday cake. mmmm. when john awoke, we finished the tour de france recap and headed down the street for an italian birthday dinner. mmmm, again. now john has gone back to sleep so that he can be in tip-top shape for tonights shift. funny, but this is pretty normal for us. :)
