mike's big departure...

as many of you know, my brother mike is being deployed to afghanistan very soon (like this upcoming wednesday).  mike has this really great gig (his words, not mine) with the army band.  mike will be stationed overseas for approximately one year.

last weekend, the whole family was able to be together in washington before mike headed back to austin, texas.  it was a wonderful gathering.  i sure love my brother.

best of luck to you, mike.  here's hoping to a very uneventful tour of the desert!
