i have had the wonderful opportunity to travel home twice this month. the first trip was a whirlwind 24 hours of great food, and even better company. the day started with leftover indian curry (buttered chicken, with the chicken picked out, of course). then, we took a long walk on the soos creek trail, celebrated mike and my birthday with a few presents, bowled two rounds at acme bowl, and finished off the day with dinner at my new favorite thai restaurant. it was wonderful to have everyone together before mike headed off to afghanistan.
three weeks later, john and i made the trip so john could set up camp for a month of research. i wish i could have stayed with him, but unfortunately i had to return to columbus after just one week.
