today is my mother's birthday.  i am not sure which birthday, as i have not known how old my mother is for quite some time.  my solution for this inability to remember important dates is to tell everyone my mother is 45 years old.  it's a compliment now, but when i was in junior high i do not think she liked it.  yes, my mother has been 45 for about 15 years!  impressive, i know.

note:  john gave me the honor of picking a wedding date, possibly to aid in my memory of the date in the years to come.  we were married on 09-08-07.  i forget all the time, but luckily i can usually remember we were married in september and then count backwards from there.  sadly, i did not inherit my mother's fantastic memory for dates and everything else numbers.
