chillicothe, week three/four...

weeks three and four only made for one week of actual patient time, as i took a few days off to visit my family in seattle, washington.  as is the case most of the time at the VA, the days were long and the patients were many.


hardest part of week three/four:  a broken heart. sometimes the VA is a sad place to spend the day.  so many of the patients are sick, alone, out of money, and somewhat ignored by society.  many of these people have nothing but the physical and emotional ailments they carry from their time in the service. it just breaks my heart.  sometimes all i can do on my long drive home is cry.
