sedatives for wade...

today, wade had an appointment with the veterinarian (and boy was it exciting).  first came the thrill of putting wade in his crate.  wade knows that the crate means it's time to see the doctor.  soon after entering the crate comes the growling and the hissing and the scratching, all of which exponentially increase when the veterinarian takes wade out of his carrier.  oh and then there was me, the cat owner, crying in the exam room because i just can't handle seeing my cat this way.

after all this excitement, and after purchasing some much needed sedatives (for the cat), wade and i headed home.  at this point, wade was lying in his cadge in a pool of his own urine.  when we finally got home, i tried to bathe wade.  that too was exciting.  holy cow.  now, my house smells like cat urine and wade is drying outside.

oh, the things we do for our pets.

note: the sedative did not seem to work.  we will be trying a stronger dosage later this week.
