while in rochester, john and i took a day trip to palmyra to visit the lds church history sites. it was an amazing experience to be in places like the sacred grove and the home of the smiths, as well as standing at the top of the hill cumorah. still, in being there i realized these places are only significant because of what took place on the grounds. i assume many of us have similar places with such significance for our own lives...
