john and i had been itching to get on at least part of the appalachian trail while were were living in the area. i'll just list the interesting points, as i do not feel like being creative at the moment...
- most every one we met was doing the entire trail (started in may and will finish in september)
- every few days, or maybe a little more, the trail reaches a highway
- a deer sounds a lot like a person from a tent
- you have no chance of spotting an animal in the night, as you can't tell the difference between the light reflecting off an animals retina and the city lights in the background
- house cats also can be found on the appalachian trail, who would have thought?
