our first nor'easter...

john and i have a very skewed idea of what it means to endure a boston winter.  the reason for this misunderstanding is simple; in the two winters we have lived in new england, it has snowed a grand total of twice...maybe three times...and the temperatures have rarely dropped below 30 degrees fahrenheit.  it's been well, wonderful.

this past weekend we caught a glimpse of what mother nature can do to the northeast during these winter months. over the course of about twenty-four hours we had nearly two feet of snowfall and high winds that left many without power.  it was our first ever (and potentially last) nor-easter...and nemo was his name-o!

we ventured out the day after the storm, and it was a glorious sight to behold.
