well, here is the outline of events since i last wrote.
sunday and monday: wade grew the world's largest abscess on his left hind leg
tuesday: wade punctured and drained the world's largest abscess (sort of gross) from his left hind leg
wednesday: wade continued to ooze and bleed from his used-to-be abscess that was now a giant crater in his left hind leg
thursday: wade went back to the veterinarian, was again put under general anesthesia, and was given an even bigger hole in his left hind leg than the one he had dug for himself. wade now has one of those cone shaped collars around his neck and a dressing free wound that is leaking all over the house (nice, eh?). every piece of furniture and carpet is officially covered to prevent any lasting evidence of this disgusting event.
wade will be out of commission for another 10-14 days, but it looks like all other conditions are no longer an immediate concern. we are so glad. we love wade so much.

I'm so glad that's all it was! Sorry about the grossness of it all. I guess you must love him.
I shouldn't have looked. I'm retching as we speak... but I'm glad he'll be okay. Poor kitty. And POOR SARAH for having to clean up oozing abscess goop. *heebie jeebies*
