wade

basically, this is a post in honor of wade, who has successfully made it to 6 months of age without being run over by a car, strangling himself with yarn, or being eaten by one of the many large dogs in the neighborhood which he so easily provokes.  the following are a few of our favorite "wade" moments, in no particular order:

  • wade's yarn art (as you can see in the picture, it was quite intense.  in fact, this photo was taken right before he would have stopped breathing, had we not cut him out!).
  • the day wade discovered the toilet paper.
  • waking up to wade next to me in bed with his head on john's pillow and his body stretched out under the covers (honestly, sometimes i think wade thinks he's a person).
  • the day our neighbor came over and asked us to bring in our cat because he had been sitting outside this neighbors window, mocking his dog who was on the other side locked in a kennel.
  • wade swinging on the porch swing (he gains momentum all on his own, it's the funniest thing to watch).
  • the first time wade ever took a cat nap (this was just a few weeks ago).
  • wade following me to class (these were a sad few days of sneaking out the back door and ditching wade somewhere between our house and campus.  thank goodness john found him the day he didn't find his way home!)

I finally got onto your blog! Every time I would try to accept the invite, it gave me an error! I was about to e-mail you and tell you to re-invite me, but it finally worked! You guys are so adventurous and your life together looks and sounds so fun! As you are talking about your cat, I was totally thinking of Zach and Carli's wedding, where your mom was talking about the cat she adopted and all the kittens. I could not stop laughing thinking about it! Looks like you have made a great home for Wade! Hope you're both doing well!

Wade is so cute - I was just sitting here thinking, how before Avah came my life revolved around Toby the cat, pictures, blog posts, scrapbook pages... Guess Avah took priority - but I still do love my Toby!! They really are like children... You guys are so great!! Love ya!
